On arrival in Turangi we discovered that our ''herb'' garden was thriving - and this achieved without any human intervention whatsoever. Hurrah! Lettuce and parsley on tap from now on...
The weather was glorious, apart from a very, very cold wind coming straight off the mountain (all weekend). We had brought a trailer load of sand up, and had no choice but to get out in the wind and prepare a place to put it. So on Sunday morning we levered ourselves out of our armchairs and forced ourselves out into the weather. It took a fair bit of effort and we shared the digging, but we were pleased with the eventual result!
The following morning we went for a walk along the river. Colourful, crisp and chilly are the words that best describe it. Mostly crisp and chilly!
Yours Truly posing by a convenient gate:
On our way home, we stopped off and picked up a treadmill which M bought off the web. Once we'd got it home, it was time for a wee try. The good news is that it works, and works well, and so far at least, is definitely not a ''Lemon". Watch this space for further good news in that department...!

We had a drink or two for Liz, toasted her good health and wished her a very happy birthday. After all, isn't that the point of the weekend? We certainly enjoyed the day off she organised for us, and are looking forward to the next one.
