Wedding Day

The Wedding was held on the top of the little grass rise beyond the white building on the beach, and the reception was held at Oskars on the upper floor of that building.

As you can see, the setting was magic.

The bridesmaids and the groomsmen all looked great. Unfortunately the wind came up a little during the ceremony.

The bride arrived on time, looking fabulous.

The ceremony was short and sweet...

...followed by congratulations all round.

We all adjourned without delay to Oskars, there to eat, drink and be merry for the remainder of the evening.

A Fun Week on the Gold Coast

At the end of April we spent a week on the Gold Coast, at Burleigh, with friends. We were all there for a wedding. Here are some of the non-wedding photos:

This was where we stayed - Le Beach, at Burleigh. It was a great location - just over the road from the beach, and really nice apartments. Our apartment was on the top floor, with a great view of the pool, and the beach in the distance.

We made good use of the pool surroundings, with several delicious bbqs. This one was breakfast on our last day. As you can see, Murray's skills were utilised to the full.

Most mornings we were up early for a walk along the beach, followed by a swim in the surf. It was bliss. As you can see, one morning we were up before the sun!

Here's Murray at a lookout above the mouth of Tallebudgera Creek. You can see as far south as Tweed Heads - the NSW/QLD border.

In the other direction (but not from the same lookout), you can see Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise.
Here's Murray on Burleigh Beach one glorious afternoon.

On our first day, we had a group lunch at the Surf Club. Murray didn't take long to get into holiday mode...

The more adventurous among us (Murray, Murray and I) took ourselves to Dreamworld one day. M&M went on the most 'noxious' rides possible and came off every one of them grinning from ear to ear.

As you can see, I was not in quite the same league!

Here are four of us in Brisbane, not long before heading to the airport for the flight home.
